Location is superb: Firostefani is a 7 or 8 minute walk to Fira centre which means you're close enough to the hustle and bustle without being overwhelmed by the busy times when cruise ships disgorge their cargo! Similarly a 30 second walk across the road leads to a stunning view of the caldera and 2 minutes to one of the best sunset viewing spots outside Oia. Lots of bars, taverna etc nearby and we ate well at the hotel bar which was good quality and affordable. Worth upgrading to a sea view if possible as the sunrise is stunning and opening your doors to THAT view each morning is worth the extra spend. Rooms spacious and housekeeping excellent at keeping them clean. Complimentary bottles of water once a day was a nice touch, as was a bottle of wine on arrival. Only criticism would be a lack of an iron, but we managed! Good quality air-conditioning and a good size balcony with table and chairs. Staff were exceptional across the hotel, from Luciano who took our bags to Spyros and the women who work the desk who explained excursions and other details with infinite patience, kindness and top local expertise. Elsa, our housekeeper, was friendly, efficient and always made sure we were looked after while Dimitris and the crew at the bar were always smiling and ready to give us a lesson in improving our Greek. Breakfast was very good with a broad selection of hot and cold options - all the usual things were covered from bacon, sausage, egg etc to continental breakfast, lots of fresh fruits and greek yoghurt and a choice of local greek pastries which would change daily. I really enjoyed trying new Greek delicacies each day! In short, Santorini Palace is worthy of it's name and we enjoyed every aspect of our stay there. We will certainly return. Your staff are a credit to you!

The hotel is located only a short distance from the centre of Fira but you would never know it. It has a very unique design that is completely in keeping with the architecture of the community. You really don't have the sense you are actually in a quite large property. However what made the hotel successful for us was every member of staff was very friendly, helpful and good humoured. Nothing was too much trouble and the suggestions anyone made for food or excursions were done so without bias as to price or supplier. We found the quality and choice of food at breakfast or dinner was excellent. We also thought the prices were better value than going into Fira. Our room and shared facilities around reception and the pool were very clean and well kept. All in all the whole place has a very positive atmosphere. We plan to return next year but in the meantime are looking at other KD Hotel resorts.

The property was beautiful, and SO clean! It was located in a prime/perfect location as well. It was close walk to FIRA but also a bit outside of all the craziness/hustle and bustle. The staff are very friendly, and accommodating and go above and beyond. The pool staff is extremely attentive and also go above and beyond to make everyone’s experience wonderful during their stay.

Breakfast was good, the only thing missing for us was the decaf coffee that I had to go get at the pool bar each morning and purchase extra but they were very accommodating by opening it early on our last day so we could get some before our taxi pick up The staff was very sweet and very helpful with their advice on everything, directions, restaurants , taxi reservations etc…

I loved the location of the hotel, great sunset view just across the street from the property. Staff were excellent. John gave us an upgrade to a beautiful room with an awesome sunrise we saw every morning from our porch. John gave us the information about how to get around the island on bus. He is a gem for the hotel.
